Dr Vasilis Strogilos is lecturer at the Department of Early Childhood Education, University of Thessaly. He obtained his first degree in Education from the Department of Primary Education, University of the Aegean/Greece. He has also received a Master and a PhD in Special Education from the School of Education, University of Birmingham/UK. He has a background as a special teacher in English and Greek schools and as a researcher at the University of the Aegean. His teaching and research have focused on special and inclusive education. His recent research interests have centered on the development of inclusive pedagogy and curricula, the education of students with complex disabilities and on multidisciplinary collaboration as a means to inclusion for all. He has participated in a number of research projects, and has published research articles and studies in journals, books, and conference proceedings.
