Vassilis Gerodimos is an assistant professor of team sports in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science at the University of Thessaly, Trikala, Greece. He gained his BSc in Sports Science (1994) and his PhD (2002) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki - Greece. He has published 4 books and more than 35 peer reviewed articles in international and Greek journals, in the areas of physical condition, team sports, evaluation and health. He is an active referee for many sports science journals. His work has been cited in more than 150 published papers in the area of sport science. He is also an experienced coach of physical conditioning in basketball and has worked in many elite basketball teams.
